About the Authors:
I had the idea to write this book because every night before I go to bed, my mom says these words to me and my siblings and they're very special to me. My mom and I worked together to make the words rhyme and bring animals into it. I love how it turned out and I hope you love it too! ~ Louisa age 11
It is so easy for our kids to forget how special they are! A few years ago I decided I would remind our kids every night that they are smart, special, kind, loved, etc. and that began our ritual of daily words of affirmation. Louisa had the idea to turn it into a picture book. We worked together on this project creating the story and I illustrated it with soft watercolors.
